Prophetic Figures & Symbols
Who is Mystery Babylon? Who is the Antichrist? Could modern figures like Jared Kushner or Donald Trump fulfill prophetic roles? This section examines every major symbol and character in Revelation, comparing historical identifications against modern candidates — with a transparent scorecard showing what fits and what doesn't.
Editorial Note: This section presents all major interpretive positions with equal scholarly rigor. Identifying living individuals as prophetic figures is speculative and should be held loosely. The goal is education, not prediction.
Mystery Babylon
The most debated symbol in Revelation. Is she Rome? The Vatican? America? New York? A future global system? Explore every identification with a detailed scorecard and the Jeremiah 49-51 connection.
The Beast / Antichrist
The central figure of end-times prophecy. Historical candidates include Nero and Antiochus IV. Modern speculation includes world leaders, the UN, and future global figures. Every candidate scored against the biblical criteria.
The False Prophet
The religious enforcer of the Beast's system. Looks like a lamb, speaks like a dragon. Enforces the mark of the beast. Historical, modern, and future identifications compared.
The Two Witnesses
Two prophets who testify for 1,260 days, are killed by the Beast, and rise from the dead. Are they Moses and Elijah? Enoch and Elijah? The Church and Israel? All views examined.
Woman Clothed with the Sun
A woman with twelve stars, clothed with the sun, moon under her feet. Is she Israel, Mary, or the Church? The Genesis 37 connection and the Marian tradition both examined.
The Dragon
Identified explicitly as Satan, the devil, the ancient serpent (Rev 12:9). The dragon gives power to the Beast and wages war on the woman's offspring. The spiritual reality behind earthly kingdoms.
The Ten Kings
Ten kings who receive authority with the Beast for one hour. Are they ten Roman emperors? Ten future world leaders? Ten regional blocs (EU, NATO, etc.)? Daniel's ten toes of iron and clay examined.
The Mark of the Beast (666)
Required for all buying and selling. Is it a literal physical mark? A spiritual allegiance? A Roman emperor's name? A future microchip or digital ID? The gematria of 666 and every major interpretation.
Is Jeremiah Being Fulfilled Right Now?
Jeremiah 50-51 contains the most detailed prophecy of Babylon's destruction in the entire Bible. The problem: several key predictions were never literally fulfilled when Cyrus conquered Babylon in 539 BC. Babylon was not burned, not permanently desolated, and not made uninhabitable. John quotes these passages directly in Revelation 17-18 — suggesting he saw them as still awaiting fulfillment.
Could these prophecies be finding fulfillment today? Is the "nation from the north" (Jer 50:3) Russia? Is "the hammer of the whole earth" (Jer 50:23) America? Is the call to "flee from Babylon" (Jer 51:6) a warning for God's people living in a corrupt Western system?

"No one will live there; no human being will dwell in it"
The area near ancient Babylon is still inhabited today
"Flee from Babylon! Run for your lives!"

Is America Mystery Babylon?
Jeremiah 51:13 — "You who live by many waters and are rich in treasures." Jeremiah 50:23 — "How broken and shattered is the hammer of the whole earth!" Jeremiah 51:53 — "Even if Babylon reaches the sky and fortifies her lofty stronghold." Are these coincidental parallels to America, or deliberate prophetic foreshadowing? We score the identification honestly — including what doesn't fit.
